The Birmingham Civic Society is governed by its Board of Trustees with the committees directing the programmes in the different areas of activity. The day to day operations of the Society and the Next Generation Awards are sustained through the invaluable contribution of the Executive Team.
Our trustees play a pivotal role in the governance and success of our organisation. As stewards of our mission, values, and resources; trustees provide strategic direction, ensure accountability, and safeguard the interests of stakeholders.

Being responsible for handling the day-to-day management and decision-making responsibilities of the society, the Executive Team for Trustees plays a pivotal role for us.
Their primary duties include implementing the strategic direction set by the board of trustees, overseeing the organisation’s operations, managing finances, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. They also serve as liaisons between the trustees and the organisation’s staff, providing regular updates and recommendations to the board while overseeing our overall performance and success.
