About Me

I have worked in Birmingham for the whole of my working life and truly love our city. I always push back those who are negative and actively support the building and landscape changes each generation makes, but mindful of what we pass on to the following generations. This passion led me to be a Trustee and Chair of the Planning Committee for BCS.

My career has always been in the construction industry, managing a fifth-generation respected family building company for 20 years. The business had a reputation for working on many of Brimingham’s rich heritage such as St Martins in the Bull Ring, St Paul Church, Aston Hall, Black Country Museum and worked with National Trust, English Heritage and Landmark Trust.

More recently my career has moved into the pre-construction role and currently work for BSN Group Construction, managing team of Estimators, writing up bids, finding work and strategic support to the Directors.

I’m also a Trustee at Coventry Cathedral (Property adviser) and volunteer at Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick. All three highlights my passion for preserving our built heritage.

I live in Wilmcote near Stratford upon Avon. Married to Georgina with one daughter a Senior Construction Project Manager in London and spend spare time gardening, walking and visiting historic buildings across the UK.
