Opus in Conversation: Bees in the city

Join Opus for a lively conversation on one of Europe’s most endangered species; bees. Bees are under serious threat. Since the 1900’s, the UK has lost 20 species of bee and a further 35 are considered under threat of extinction. Without these intriguing insects, it is estimated that we would lose a third of our diet due to the catastrophic effect it would have on our crops.
 
To discuss why these crucial creatures are under threat, as well as explain how we can help them thrive in our city, Opus have got together some of Birmingham’s and the UK’s leading bee specialists for their ‘Opus in Conversation: Bees in the City’.
