Birmingham Civic Society Blue Plaque Walk – 19 Sept

On Saturday 19 September, Birmingham Civic Society are organising a c3km circular walk around the Centenary Square area looking at the Blue Plaques on display.

Discover more about the people, places and events being commemorated by the iconic Blue Plaques and delve into their contribution to the development of the city of Birmingham. From a pioneering female reporter to a legendary nightclub, a politician to a surgical champion, reimagine this area through the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries.

What you need to know

  • Meeting point: Library of Birmingham, Centenary Square, Birmingham, B1 2ND. We will meet under the under the canopy by the bicycle racks.

  • Date: Sat 19 Sept 1pm – 3pm
  • Admission fee: £8. Reserve your place by following this link on Eventbrite 
  • Wheelchair access: This event is accessible for wheelchair users. This is a mainly flat route. There are some cobbled areas with uneven surfaces.

We will be walking outdoors so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable footwear.
