Divine Beauty Concert

The talented choristers of Birmingham Cathedral perform a musical treat as part of Birmingham Civic Society’s centenary – The City Beautiful – celebrating the remarkable Burne-Jones stained-glass windows.
A programme of great cathedral anthems inspired by each of the four windows, including Parry’s I Was Glad, Mendelssohn’s Hear My Prayer and O For the Wings of a Dove, Ireland’s Greater Love, music by Finzi and Wesley and several pieces written for Birmingham Cathedral Choir.
This concert supports Divine Beauty and fundraising efforts to conserve the stained-glass windows.
